The Ontario Engineering Project Awards (OEPA), formally the OCEA, has been highlighting the importance of the consulting engineering profession since 2003. Each year outstanding projects submitted by ACEC-Ontario member firms, of all sizes, are recognized and awarded. The recipients of these awards have demonstrated the impact their knowledge, skill and expertise have made provincially, nationally and internationally.
Get ready to share your projects, we want to hear all about them.
It doesn’t matter if your company consists of 5, 50, or 500 people. It doesn’t matter whether the project was valued at $10,000, $1,000,000 or $100,000,000. If your project or internal initiative is innovative and made an impact as described under the designated award category, you should submit it for consideration.
Last year, the process was streamlined to encourage a broader range of submissions. Levelling the playing field and recognizing firms for a variety of their contributions to the industry and society! We found this to have had positive feedback and decided to continue forward in 2024.
The Awards of Distinction categories, now recognize the top 10 project submissions across all categories. In addition, we have three new awards categories – Sustainability Award, Small Firm – Big Impact, and Internal Innovation.
This year we have continued with the elimination of the “Intention to Submit” form, along with the requirement for a client letter. We also except projects from the previous TWO years and phases of projects.
Extended! Submissions are now due January 19, 2024
The deadline for submission is January 5, 2024.
