About OEPA
The Ontario Engineering Project Awards (OEPA), formerly the OCEA, have been highlighting the importance of the consulting engineering profession since 2003. Each year, outstanding projects submitted by ACEC-Ontario member firms of all sizes are recognized and awarded. The recipients of these awards demonstrate the impact their knowledge, skill, and expertise have made provincially, nationally, and internationally.
Get ready to share your projects—we want to hear all about them.
No matter the size of your company, whether you have 5, 50, or 500 people, and regardless of your project’s value, be it $10,000, $1,000,000, or $100,000,000, if your project or internal initiative is innovative and impactful under the designated award category, you should submit it for consideration.
Each year, we strive to lower the barriers to entry so that all our member companies, representing a broad range in size, can participate in the OEPA.
Based on feedback from the Jury and Small Business Network Task Force, we have developed the “Small Firm, Big Impact” award, the 2.0 version. This award aims to help small firms with fewer resources participate in the awards process. If your firm has fewer than 100 employees, click here to see the simplified submission process and an award category focused on recognizing the small but mighty.
This year, we have reintroduced the option to submit an intent to submit, in a simplified format. Our core awards categories include Distinction, Sustainable Development Impact, and Internal Innovation, which focuses on internal corporate programs of philanthropy, community engagement, recruitment, and retention. The highest honour, the Willis Chipman Award, will also conclude the program, as it has throughout its history. Read OEPA guidelines here.
The OEPA categories are meticulously designed to recognize consulting engineering excellence, celebrate the impact ACEC-Ontario member companies have on their clients and society, and honour those who have demonstrated outstanding efforts over the past two years.
Submissions are being accepted from September 10th to Thursday, December 12, 2024.
