The Association of Consulting Engineering Companies | Ontario (ACEC-Ontario) is the voice of the consulting engineering industry in Ontario.

Our objective is to be a trusted partner and solutions provider to government the policy maker, legislator and government the client.

ACEC-Ontario’s engagement and advocacy efforts focus on provincial and municipal jurisdictions, working with governments and other industry stakeholders. Active engagement by business with government is essential for infrastructure policy and initiatives to be successful. We define success as providing tangible value for taxpayers while protecting the public welfare. As such, ACEC-Ontario does not advocate for infrastructure investment, rather we advocate for investment as a product of proper planning.

Infrastructure planning and investment is a powerful driver of economic growth, activity and job creation; it must not be seen as an expense. Good infrastructure that delivers the best life-cycle value, is a function of sound planning and consistent investment, both as part of initial construction and in support of refurbishment. The fiduciary responsibility to which Professional Engineers are bound instills an obligation to protect the public welfare – this is engrained in our member firm’s business practices.

The work of ACEC-Ontario’s member firms touches virtually every aspect of our society, including project planning and development, design, execution, operation and maintenance.
