National Engineering Month 2023 – From P. Eng to Politics – Making the Transition

This fireside chat took place on March 31, 2023 during OSPE’s National Engineering Month. Andrew Dowie, P. Eng., shared his journey from a professional engineer to the Member of Provincial Parliament for Windsor-Tecumseh with Doug DeRabbie, ACEC-Ontario’s Director of Government and Stakeholder Relations. They uncovered Mr. Dowie’s impressions of going through an election campaign, being part of the government caucus, and his role as Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade.
