Consulting Engineering Companies have a significant role to play in addressing climate change issues. They ensure that designs and operations are continuously adapted to the impacts of climate change in order to help protect public safety.

ACEC-Ontario’s new Sustainability and Climate Change (SCC) Network is the place for employees of member companies to help shape the conversation around sustainability and climate change and position the consulting engineering industry as leaders on this increasingly important topic.

Enhancing Resilience Against Climate Change in Ontario
Ontario stands at the crossroads of climatic transformation. Dr. Farzad Fahimi, Ph.D., P.Eng., Chair of the ACEC-Ontario Sustainability and Climate Change Network, recently published a compelling article in AMCTO’s Municipal Monitor. This article underscores the urgency for refining and expanding strategies to tackle climate risks. From fortifying infrastructure to boosting socio-economic resilience, Dr. Fahimi, with support from the SCC, outlines essential steps for safeguarding our communities amidst global environmental changes.
A must-read for those committed to sustainability and climate action.
