The Release of the 2026 Provincial Budget

On Thursday, March 26, 2026, the Honourable Peter Bethlenfalvy, Minister of Finance, delivered Ontario’s 2026 Budget: A Plan to Protect Ontario.

While some of the elements of the budget have been previously announced, there are new items of interest. Notably, Ontario’s 2026 Budget commits more than $210 billion over 10 years, including $37 billion in 2026-2027 to capital projects; ‘the most ambitious provincial capital plan in Canadian history’ as described by the Minister.
