On April 26, 2019 Consulting Engineers of Ontario (CEO) hosted our 17th annual Ontario Consulting Engineering Awards (OCEA) Gala at Copper Creek Golf Club.
The evening was themed around taking a “behind the scenes” look at the intricate work involved with consulting engineering. Often the obstacles and challenges that are overcome go unnoticed, which is why CEO created the OCEA to recognize the dedication and the innovative advancements our member firms achieve within the industry.
Eleven awards were presented throughout the event. Stealing the spotlight was John G. Cooke & Associates taking home the Willis Chipman award for the Government Conference Centre Rehabilitation in Ottawa, ON. This project involved restoring a federal government building, originally constructed in 1912, while maintaining the integrity of its heritage.
