We are pleased to share ACEC‑Ontario’s updated 2026–2029 Strategic Plan, developed collaboratively by our Board of Directors, chapter leaders, and staff to guide our work over the next three years.
Our Vision and Mission remain unchanged and continue to guide our strategic direction.
Vision
“Our Member Firms prosper and are recognized for their influence and fundamental contributions to the social, environmental and economic welfare of Ontario.”
Mission
“To promote and advance the business interests of our Member Firms and the value of the engineering work they do.”
Grounded in consultation and research, the new plan reflects insights from in‑depth interviews with our Board of Directors, Member Firms and volunteers across Ontario. The plan responds to key trends shaping our sector, including workforce and talent pressures, economic and policy uncertainty, evolving procurement and contracting practices, the accelerating adoption of artificial intelligence, and the growing interconnectedness across the infrastructure ecosystem.
To navigate these challenges and opportunities, ACEC‑Ontario will focus on three strategic priorities:
- Proactive Advocacy to strengthen our collective voice and influence
- Engagement that Delivers Value through relevant, timely, and impactful member services
- Enhancing Industry Capacity by supporting talent, education, and research across the sector
This Strategic Plan provides a clear path forward to support our members and reinforce ACEC‑Ontario’s role as a trusted leader and advocate for consulting engineering in Ontario.
We look forward to continuing this journey together and expanding on this strategic plan in more detail with a presentation at our Annual Meeting happening on Monday, September 14.
