ACEC-Ontario has established a liaison committee with Waterloo Region to provide a forum for candid and constructive dialogue between ACEC-Ontario and the Regional Municipality of Waterloo to address barriers and promote opportunities to delivering local infrastructure projects.
Meetings
- The liaison committee will meet biannually. Ad-hoc meetings may be scheduled, as deemed necessary, when requested by either organization.
- Agenda topics are set in advance through coordination between the Chairs, Vice-Chairs, and Committee Secretary to ensure focused and productive discussions.
Key Responsibilities
Committee members are expected to:
- Attend all scheduled Liaison Committee meetings and actively participate in discussions. Members unable to attend must provide advance notice to the Committee Secretary or Chair.
- Review meeting materials in advance and be prepared to provide informed input.
- Work collaboratively with Waterloo Region representatives to address matters of mutual interest, including procurement practices, contract terms, and service delivery outcomes.
- Participate, as required, in sub-committees or working groups established to address specific issues or develop recommendations.
- Support the documentation of meeting outcomes, including action items and follow-up activities.
