Friday afternoon the Ontario government, having consulted with the Chief Medical Officer of Health, released A Plan to Safely Reopen Ontario and Manage COVID-19 for the Long-Term, outlining its gradual approach for lifting remaining public health and workplace safety measures by March 2022.

Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor, Elizabeth Dowdeswell, opened a new session of provincial parliament this morning, delivering the speech from the throne, entitled “Protecting Ontario’s Progress”. The throne speech marks the provincial government’s opportunity to lay out a new legislative agenda for the session.

Bulletin to Members: Requirements for COVID-19 Vaccination Policies Emerge and MOH & MLTSD make Updates to Health and Safety Guidance

August 26, 2021

The ongoing spread of the Delta variant of COVID-19 throughout Ontario has fueled a resurgence of cases across the province over approximately the last three weeks. Health Canada and Ontario’s Chief Medical Officer of Health have indicated that a fourth wave of the virus is asserting itself. In response to these developments Ontario health officials two weeks ago released new guidance speaking to testing and self-isolation for those that may have been exposed to COVID-19 and new rules for people based on vaccination status.
