ACEC-Ontario member firms must log-in to the website in order to receive member pricing. Refunds/adjustments will not be given for the pricing difference after registration, to receive member firm pricing you will need to provide this information ahead of time.
  • Please note: If a member purchases a non-member-ticket and requires a refund, only the difference minus the fees associated from payment processing will be refunded, a fee up-to $100 CAD.

This course will prepare consulting engineering personnel for the role of Contract Administrator and is also intended for MTO personnel with responsibilities for consultant assignments. With appropriate field experience, this course is approved to meet part of the criteria of the MTO/OACETT Road Construction Contract Administrator (RCCA) designation. Participants are eligible for 10 OACETT points upon successful completion of the course.

Pre-requisite:

If you intend to complete your OACETT Designation then the Highway Construction Inspection (HCI) course is a pre-requisite prior to taking this CA course. See more details about all MTO courses here.

Cut-Off Date: Friday, December 18, 2026.

Upon successful completion of the final exam, participants will be issued a certificate. Final exam is open book and participants will need a 70% to pass. If participants do not obtain 70%, they will be eligible for one rewrite exam. The fee to rewrite an exam is $500 + HST*. Exam rewrite will be virtual, and the dates will be posted when registration opens for the course.

“Mini quizzes” will be administered daily, these quizzes are a useful tool to help participants prepare for the final exam. These daily quizzes do not count toward the participants final exam or mark. The mini quizzes will also be handed to the instructors each day so they can determine if participants are grasping the content and are prepared for the exam.

*Rewrite fee covers the cost of the instructor to proctor and mark exam.

  • Course fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the course. Failure to submit payment may result in your registration being cancelled, as waiting lists are maintained.
  • Cancellations received in writing more than 10 business days prior to the start of the course will be subject to a $100 cancellation fee (per person, per course). Please send cancellation requests to communications@acecontario.ca.
  • Cancellations received less than 10 business days prior to the start of the course are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued if a registrant fails to attend all or part of the course.
  • Qualified substitutions are permitted within the same course and course date, provided written notice is received more than 10 business days prior to the start of the course. Please submit substitution requests to communications@acecontario.ca along with full name, email id and dietary restriction if any.
  • No substitutions will be accepted less than 10 business days prior to the start of the course.
  • If a participant is unable to attend the course, no credit will be issued toward a future course, and registrations cannot be transferred to a future course offering in the following year.
  • Attendance is mandatory for all in-person courses.
  • If a participant requires an accommodation or is unable to attend due to medical reasons, they must provide a doctor’s note before the start of the course, where appropriate for the accommodation requested. Advance notice is required to allow ACEC-Ontario sufficient time to make the necessary arrangements.

  • To participate in this course, you must present a valid government-issued photo ID. You will be required to present your ID on the first day of the course and the day of examination.
  • Your registration name must exactly match the name on your government-issued ID. This is required for identity verification.
  • If you use a preferred name, you may provide it during registration. Your preferred name can appear on your Certificate of Completion, but it will not be used for ID verification.
